Has it been 20 years already? I guess it’s true… that time flies when you’re having fun!

July. 1995. School’s out for the summer. I was perusing through a mail order fashion magazine that I received in the mail every month (I can’t even remember the name of it) but that particular month featured a cool, retro, and “I had to have it skirt.” I begged my mother to buy it for me, but she said, “NO WAY.”
I said, “please, I will be babysitting next month and I will pay you back!”
But then she surprised me with her reasoning, by saying, “it’s not the money, this skirt is made up of granny squares, it’s crocheted, and if you learn to crochet, you can make it yourself.”

Well… although I never did make that skirt, I did learn to crochet that summer. I was obsessed with designing crochet hand bags and selling them to my peers. (My best friends got them for free:)) and I’ve been “hooked” ever since.

Fast forward 20+ years… I am proud to call myself a crochet designer! It’s been a long, but rewarding road to travel. I one day dreamed of owning a little crochet boutique of things that I’ve made, so I tried it in a way of sorts. I spent years selling my wears at markets, craft shows, special events, by consignment in boutiques, and online. But soon, I realized how tiresome it is. I became irritated, spending the free time of my days (I had a another job too!), making the same things over and over again. I became stressed out. Eventually, I think I had a mental breakdown… pretty sure of it! That was when I decided to put the markets aside and concentrate on designing… and that was the day that I fell in love with crochet all over again!

Random Fact: I dream about most of my designs before I design them!

I’ve had work in magazines, I adore tapestry crochet, I like to be a little eccentric sometimes, but I still enjoy the good ‘ole classic look of knit/crochet, and I love a good challenge!

Random Fact: I can’t knit. (but I’d like to learn if I had more time!)

I present you… my best work! A lot of time, precision, and care is put into each of my designs because I want you to enjoy crocheting them as much as I enjoyed designing them! Thanks for stopping by :)
