I started crocheting to make baby blankets for my unborn babies. This was years before the actual babies came along. My first blanket was baby blue and yellow for the boy I was certain I was going to have.
When my husband and I were to the point of actually wanting to have children, I decided I needed a girl blanket, too, or I would definitely have a girl and have to hurry to make the blanket. I was still finishing the blanket when my beautiful baby girl made her entrance to this world. One more daughter later, and no more children to come, I have no idea what I did with that blue and yellow blanket!
Since my early baby blanket making days, I have crochet numerous projects and written several patterns. I hope my collection of patterns will continue to grow with my growing love of crochet. I am planning on designing patterns other than baby-themed ones, but baby stuff is just so darn cute!
