Offering crochet Patterns, with a focus on using our proceeds to give hope to “SICK ‘LIL MONKEYS” everywhere! PLEASE note. We are NOT a charity. People have many pastimes in life that bring them joy. My favorite thing is to give to others. It’s the same for me as a vice is for anyone else. Pattern proceeds allow my husband and I to give when we see need without worry of the personal financial impact to ourselves.

Company Overview

In this economy, all around us there is need, sickness, and lost hope. SO, I decided to do something about it. It all began when my stepmother lost her hair to radiation therapy and we could not find anyone to help her obtain the wig she desired but insurance would not cover. When we started looking for help I was SHOCKED at how little there is available to help people unless they meet a specific set of misfortunes, (i. e. type of illness, financial hardship, natural disaster, etc) However, the thing is LIFE happens to ALL of us, even if we don’t fit into a specific help groups category. The Sick ‘Lil Monkeys Organization will administer help to ANYONE. We do not have requirements that your particular hardship must meet. We have provided wigs to cancer patients, shoes to the financially challenged, and handmade items to the depressed just to brighten someone’s day. In 2015 we even got to throw a wedding reception for a random young couple, I LOVE what we do!

Writing crochet patterns and offering both the patterns and the prototypes to the public in order to collect items all year for Christmas Wish boxes for “SICK ‘LIL MONKEYS”.

General Information
The past two years we have been fortunate enough to provide 10 children with Christmas Wish boxes. We look for sales, bargains and coupons, and collect items throughout the year. Once our sponsored kids are identified in August - September, we specialize the lists and add tons of handmade items that are child specific. Pattern sales help us provide the items we can’t make, shipping of the wish box items, and pay for the supplies we use to create patterns.

At our creation we began each month with a “sponsored” individual for whom we had a certain goal to meet, such as a wig or shoes. Once we had filled that need, we moved on to the next individual that needed sponsoring.

We found after our 1st Christmas season that the response and need was overwhelming, and we had such fun lighting up ‘LIL faces, we decided to dedicate year round to filling more wish boxes.
