I’m a Hat designer/maker. To me, Hats offer masses of creative potential - the possibilities in shape, form and texture are endless! My background is in industrial, sculptural and fine art Textiles, and these influences can be seen in my work. Having always been a lover of Hats and a life-long knitter, I enjoy bringing these different aspects together.
I’m constantly fascinated with unusual construction techniques, developing stitch combinations and techniques to achieve a unique, versatile piece. Each pattern is then carefully developed to ensure it is accessible to crafters of all abilities. I make every effort to make my patterns as clear as possible, include notes for alterations and design options, and always include a range of sizes. Every effort is made to ensure my patterns are to a high standard, by having each one independently tech edited and test knitted.
If you need some help & advice, then try the Ravelry group Wormhead’s Hats for tech support and help. I live in a bus with my partner and our son (Aran!), travelling mainland Europe, and don’t always have regular internet access.
