What would you like to spin? This workshop covers various methods of core spinning to produce yarns such as boucles and wraps through to controlling the weight of a single, blending fibres and incorporating various slubs in your fibre.

Silks, wool, kid or any other fibre can be used.

A number of carding machines will be available however hand cards can achieve the same outcomes.

Requirements:

• a working wheel
• at least 3 bobbins
• spools of thread or fine silks
• 8 ply yarns
• manufactured boucles
• a variety of fibres.
