October 10 (Day 1) and November 14 (Day 2)

Let’s weave a fancy scarf! Learn how to weave a scarf with all the beautiful fancy yarns from the shops. Bring your Chenille, mohair, bouclés, silk, Fur, soft merino or other hairy yarns with you. First day I will show you how to design, calculate and warp such a delicious scarf. We will also discuss what reaction and shrinkage you can expect with different materials. On the second day, we will dress the loom and weave the scarf and you should be able to go home with your beautiful piece. This workshop is a perfect follow up on the beginning weaving workshop. It is designed for beginners and/or weavers, who need some confidence in their ability to dress a loom.

Requirements

• Table loom 4 shafts or more, at least 40cm wide
• No. 8 Reed! Very important.
• Warping board and everything you need to wind your warp

I will certainly also bring the whole box of bits and pieces of yarns like Chenille and Bouclés to buy from if desired.
