January 2011
Lace / 2 ply ?
24 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
US 3 - 3.25 mm
2.5 mm
660 - 1100 yards (604 - 1006 m)
To fit bust: 32 (34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46) inches/81 (86, 92, 97, 102, 107, 112, 117) cm

Designer Notes:

  1. The finished bust measurements given are twice the width of the back, but depending on how closely you tie the fronts, the front measurement will vary to fit.
  2. The fronts are knitted sideways from the side seams to the ties. They are given first so the back can be measured against the fronts and if your tension is not quite correct, the number of rows worked to the armhole and to the shoulder can be adjusted.
  3. When sewing side seams and shoulder seams, join approximately 2 stitches to ever 3 row-ends.

Magazine Description: Memories are bound to be made in a tempting bolero that ties in a tiny bow. The cropped three-quarter-sleeve top is stitched in stockinette in pale pink Angel yarn. The front pieces are worked sideways from the side seams to form the points that tie together; crocheted edging gives a girly flourish.
