The knitting pattern will make two items of clothing for a 1:12th scale adult male dolls house doll (approx 6-inches/15 cm tall).

If you do not wish to make the clothes for a doll then these items of clothing could also be hung on a garland or Christmas tree to make a seasonal decoration.

The project this year is only Christmas related as regards to colours, so if you do not celebrate Christmas you are still welcome to join in and make a winter outfit for a male doll.

The designs of the clothes have been kept simple so no matter how rushed you are preparing for Christmas this year, you can find 30 minutes a day to sit and relax with some miniature knitting. We have tried to avoid things like picking up stitches, complex patterns and lace, so with the main parts knitted in stocking stockinette stitch with garter stitch (every row knit) borders and adding some simple shaping by increasing and decreasing, this should be within the abilities of most knitters from beginners to experienced alike

Materials required:
1 pair size 19 (1.00 mm/US 00000) knitting needles, 4 stitch holders or safety pins, 75 metres/82 yards 1-ply yarn in main colour (the project on the Advent calendar uses red), 50 metres/55 yards 1-ply yarn in contrast colour (the project on the Advent calendar uses white), adult male dolls house doll (optional).

NOTE: the pattern may be knitted with larger needles and thicker wool, but the finished items will of course be proportionally larger
