The pattern calls for either 150 g of Mez Argento and 2.5mm needles for a size of 85 cm in diameter, or 45 g of Mez Maya and 2.0mm needles for a size of 63 cm in diameter.

There are 120 rounds, 6 pattern repeats per round, with a crochet cast-off. This pattern takes the motif developed in pattern 14 C and adds an outer motif of feather-and-fan. Pattern 14 A is similar to 14 B except with more rounds of feather-and-fan.
