Pattern description from Knit Simple Magazine, Holiday 2006: “It’s the ideal starter sweater: Anyone who can knit garter stitch can ply this long, swingy-sleeved turtleneck.”

Knit Tip: “The sleeved body is worked sideways in one piece, so the only significant sewing involves attaching the separately knit cowl.”

Materials:

  • Duchess by Classic Elite Yarns, 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 75yd/69m (wool/viscose/cashmere/angora/nylon)
  • 19 (21, 23, 25, 26) balls in #1009 proud peacock
  • One pair size 10½ (6.5mm) circular needles, 36”/91cm length
  • Stitch holders

  • Small (Medium, Large, X-Large, XX-Large)
  • Bust 36 (40, 44, 48, 52)”/91.5 (101.5, 111.5, 122, 132)cm

Notes:

  1. Pullover is made vertically in one piece from left cuff to right cuff.
  2. Circular needles are used to accommodate the large amount of sts.
