1 stocking requires 4 complimenting colours of the same yarn, about 10g per colour. Any medium weight yarn will work. Make sure there are lots of different colours available.

A basic understanding of fair isle knitting and knitting on double point needles is an advantage. I would rate this pattern as intermediate to advanced. The pattern contains lots of photographs.
