Staggered blocks of color create a modern take on patchwork in this eye-catching pillow.

This pattern requires four skeins of yarn for the colorwork. It does not use the entirety of skeins A, B, and C; however, it does use most of the MC skein. If using skeins with less yardage, two skeins of the main color would be warranted.

The pillow front is knitted as one piece using intarsia techniques. The pattern recommends machine sewing this knitted piece to a fabric backing and then slip stitching the opening closed after the pillow form is inserted. It would also be possible to have a zipper already sewn into the fabric for the back of the pillow and then the knitted piece can be machine stitched on all four sides and the pillow form inserted through the zipper opening.
