“Then & Now” updated Fall/Winter 1952 semi-fitted cardigan jacket with alternating cable and stockinette stitch panels and set-in sleeves, crochet edging details and optional knitted belt. Shown in size Small on Pages 64 & 65.

Elegant and figure-flattering, our belted cardigan/jacket features alternating cable and stockinette panels and an optional knitted belt. The Belted Cardigan/Jacket first appeared in the Fall/Winter 1952 issue of the original Vogue Knitting magazine.

MATERIALS
Note The original sample was knit in the foll yarn:
• 8 (9, 10, 11) 1¾/50g balls (each approx 132yds/120m) of Baruffa 7 Settembre (wool) in #8523 coral
Note The above yarn has been discontinued. We recommend using a DK weight yarn.
• One pair size 6 (4mm) needles, OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Size F (4.00mm) crochet hook
• Six ⅝“/1.5mm buttons
• Yarn needle
• Cable needle (cn)
Optional Knitted Belt:
• 1 circular (or desired shape) buckle with 2”/5cm center bar
• Inner belt facing (to fit waist measurement plus 6”/15cm)

To fit Small (Medium, Large, X-Large). Shown in size Small. Directions are for smallest size with larger sizes in parentheses. If there is only one figure, it applies to all sizes.
