Crocheted Gauge: 2 shell st rep (measure from middle of a ch-3 at base of 1st shell to ch-3 at base of 3rd shell) = approximately 5 ½“ 14 cm and 5 rows = 3 ½” (Rows 1 to 5 of the stitch pattern) in Lacy Shell Pattern Stitch on size K/10.5 7mm hook.

Vintage touches on a design that is completely on trend for today. This crochet cardigan is a truly unique piece.

It’s even made from the neck down for minimal seaming and easily adjustable sleeve and body length.

The top half and sleeves are crocheted in a pretty shell stitch, but not the same old shell stitch that you see everywhere. Subtle stitch variations make it prettier.

The bottom is then crocheted in a more open crochet stitch for a beautiful contrast. Edges are all nicely finished with a bold scallop and the cuffs are gently flared and bracelet length.

Lastly, show-stopping buttons are placed asymmetrically to close the cardigan. Looks fabulous worn open or closed.

Crocheted with size I/9 (5.5mm) hook. Pattern includes Crochet Symbol diagrams of the stitch patterns as well as the written out instructions to follow.

Not recommended for beginning crocheters; best for those with some experience crocheting shaped sweaters.
