Instructions for a reborn or baby vest set with lots of knitting in lace. This pattern is a customer request, based on pattern number 24.  The set comprises of a vest with a gathered yoke, so it can be worn with the buttons at the back or the front.  There is a matching bonnet, beanie hat, bootees and shoes.  It is a multi sized pattern from premature to 6 month of age.

You will need:

17-18” or 42.5-45cm Height (Approx 4-5lb Prem) Size

150g 4ply yarn, 8 buttons for vest, 2 smaller buttons for shoes, 3 metres of ribbon for the bootees and bonnet, 13 metres of knitting in lace (931 holes), embellishments of your choice, 5 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 2.75mm needles making a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 5-7lb Newborn) Size

200g 4ply yarn, 8 buttons for vest, 2 smaller buttons for shoes, 3 metres of ribbon for the bootees and bonnet, 13 metres of knitting in lace (931 holes), embellishments of your choice, 5 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

20-21” or 51-53.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size

200g 4ply yarn, 8 buttons for vest, 2 smaller buttons for shoes, 3 metres of ribbon for the bootees and bonnet, 13 metres of knitting in lace (931 holes), embellishments of your choice, 5 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles.  OR use dk yarn and 3.25mm needles making a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

22” or 55cm Height (Approx 0-3 Months) Size

250g dk yarn, 8 buttons for vest, 2 smaller buttons for shoes, 3 metres of ribbon for the bootees and bonnet, 13 metres of knitting in lace (931 holes), embellishments of your choice, 5 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles making a tension of 24sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

3-6 Month Size

250g dk yarn, 8 buttons for vest, 2 smaller buttons for shoes, 3 metres of ribbon for the bootees and bonnet, 13 metres of knitting in lace (931 holes), embellishments of your choice, 5 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

This pattern has been designed by myself so it is in UK terminology. It does not follow the usual ‘shop bought’ format. There are 8 printed pages with clear and easy to follow instructions. All my patterns are tested by independent knitters before they are released, so every effort is made so that they come to you error free.
