Instructions for either a boy’s or a girls lacy matinee set, with footies, and a choice of a bonnet, or a cap with ear flaps that fasten with a strap.

You will need:-

16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 4-6lb Prem) Size

150g 4ply yarn in main colour, 100g 4ply yarn in contrast colour, 4 buttons for girls version, 5 buttons for boys version, 2m of 6mm ribbon for bonnet and tights, 2 x stitch holders,1 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 6-7lb Newborn) Size

150g 4ply yarn in main colour, 100g 4ply yarn in contrast colour, 4 buttons for girls version, 5 buttons for boys version, 2m of 6mm ribbon for bonnet and tights, 2 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles or dk yarn and 3.25mm needles making a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size

150g dk yarn in main colour, 100g dk yarn in contrast colour, 4 buttons for girls version, 5 buttons for boys version, 2m of 6mm ribbon for bonnet and tights, 2 x stitch holders,  1 x pr 3.75mm needles making a tension of 24sts and 32 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size

150g dk yarn in main colour, 100g dk yarn in contrast colour, 4 buttons for girls version, 5 buttons for boys version, 2m of 6mm ribbon for bonnet and tights, 2 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

This pattern has been designed by myself and is in UK terminology. It does not follow the usual ‘shop bought’ format. There are 7 printed pages with clear and easy to follow instructions.

All my patterns are tested by independent knitters before they are released, so that every effort is made so they come to you error free.
