Instructions for a girl’s frilly sweater with a flower-patterned collar, matching bootees and bonnet, and a contrasting pair of leggings. 

Please note that we have had to use a 3rd colour not mentioned in the pattern to show off the flowers, as the contrasting yarn had the exact same shade of pink as the sweater, so in places, it looked like we had missed out some flowers.

You will need

15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 2.5-4lb Prem) Size

100g 4ply yarn in colour A, 100g 4ply yarn in colour B, 4 buttons, 2m ribbon, 3 stitch holders, 1 x pr 2.75mm needles making a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 3-5lb Prem) Size

150g 4ply yarn in colour A, 100g 4ply yarn in colour B, 4 buttons, 2m ribbon, 3 stitch holders,  1 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 5-7lb Newborn) Size

150g 4ply yarn in colour A, 100g 4ply yarn in colour B, 4 buttons, 2m ribbon, 3 stitch holders, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles or dk yarn and 3.25mm needles making a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size

150g dk yarn in colour A, 100g dk yarn in colour B, 4 buttons, 2m ribbon, 3 stitch holders, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles making a tension of 24sts and 32 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size

150g dk yarn in colour A, 100g dk yarn in colour B, 4 buttons, 2m ribbon, 3 stitch holders, 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

This pattern has been designed by myself so it is in UK terminology. It does not follow the usual ‘shop bought’ format. There are 7 printed pages with clear and easy to follow instructions. All my patterns are tested by independent knitters before they are released, so every effort is made so that they come to you error free.
