If you have ever tried any form of knitted colorwork, such as fair isle or intarsia, you know that managing all those different yarn strands can be an issue. Recently I came up with a new tool as a solution: a belt with pockets!

The idea was to create something that could keep skeins separate, close to the body, easy to transport but also, hands-free!

The belt for colorwork is knit flat utilising only basic skills. It features 5 roomy pockets, 3 belt straps and a waist strap (not shown in sample pictures). 5 pockets will be enough for most projects, nevertheless, the piece can be easily lengthened to add more.

It is ideal for using scraps from stash.
It is recommended to use cotton or cotton blends in order to minimize friction between the skeins and the pockets.

Instructions are given in written abbreviated form.
