YARDAGE - PLEASE NOTE - the yardage stated is for one square only, as this was a group project and those who wanted to participate needed to know how much yarn they required to make one square.

This blanket is made up of 40 individual squares, each knit using basic stitches - knit, purl and slip stitches. The alphabet, numbers and 4 motifs at the corners are all crocheted together during assembly, with a motif at each corner and a crochet border.

There are 41 different and unique sock yarn colours in the blanket, in addition to those used to embellish the squares. Some were left plain, some were duplicate stitched while others were knit with intarsia. The blanket can also be made in one colour. In this case allow approx. 600g of yarn.

All squares are 5”W x 5”L. There is a garter stitch border around the edge of each square, and the letters are done in reverse stocking stitch, unless they are knit with intarsia (in which case they are also done in stocking stitch).
