In Italian, ‘acquazzone’ means shower, a short but intense rain.
When looking at this lace blanket, I see big drops and symmetric designs forming at the surface of the water during the shower. ‘Shower’ just didn’t sound as poetic as ‘acquazzone’, thus the Italian name !

For this blanket, I can easily picture lovely shades of blue, green or a delicious heather colour.
