Note: My original design and pattern since 2012.

THIS PATTERN CAN BE DONE IN REGULAR CROCHET OR YOU CAN FELT IT. INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGULAR AND FELTED ARE INCLUDED IN THE PATTERN. You don’t have to felt it, you can simply use the smaller suggested hook size and acrylic yarn to achieve the approximate finished size.

Finished size is approximately 21” circumference and 8” in length from crown to bottom of neck (accommodation sizes are estimates only and based on average head circumferences of age range provided). The size of the mannequin head will accommodate a smaller adult hat or a older child’s hat.

Materials needed:
FOR FELTED VERSION: Size I/9- 5.50 MM crochet hook or hook to obtain correct gauge, medium weight 100% wool yarn.
FOR REGULAR CROCHET: Size F/5 3.75 crochet hook (or hook to obtain correct gauge) & medium weight sturdy acrylic yarn.

YOU MUST USE THE FIRM COARSE DRY TYPE OF FIBERFILL TO ACHIEVE THE INTENDED RESULTS; THE LIGHT FLUFFY KIND WILL NOT GIVE YOU A STURDY OR HEAVY ENOUGH MANNEQUIN HEAD.

This is my original pattern. YOU CAN SELL ONLINE (but no mass marketing) AND AT CRAFT FAIRS; BUT GIVE ME CREDIT FOR THE DESIGN ON YOUR LISTING (NANLUCY CROCHET/Thornwood Designs) AND PROVIDE A LINK TO MY SHOP.

Please don’t alter this pattern in any way and/or reformat it to sell as your pattern.
