RETIRED

Coach Paul ‘Bear’ Bryant wore a great hat that has ever since associated Houndstooth with Alabama University Football. Team color Crimson for the ripple border, paired with the diagonal Houndstooth check, is a striking combination. This thick and eye-catching throw will keep you warm in any stadium or on your sofa.

Skill Level: Easy

Note from Designer:
Other than joining new balls of yarn, there are very few ends to sew in, so this project, though intense, works up rather quickly and finishes even quicker. As any corner-to-corner pattern, this pattern is entirely customizable in size and that decision can be made along the way. Instructions and yardage are given to make a large throw and a nice-size baby blanket, but certainly not limited to those sizes. This stitch pattern looks wonderful in any color combination, though the most striking result is achieved from 2 highly contrasting colorways. Where the Houndstooth pattern only appears on the Right Side of the fabric, the Wrong Side is also a very nice stitch.
