This is a youthful cable hat with optional double brim and a pompom.

MATERIALS

Needles:
3,5mm/US 4 circular needles 16” or DPNs for tubular cast on / tubular rib
4mm/US 6 circular needles 16” or DPNs for rib
6mm/US 10 circular needles 16” for body and DPNs for crown
OR SIZE TO OBTAIN THE GAUGE
You can use 40” or longer circulars and magic loop method, if you prefer.

Yarn suggestions:
Malabrigo Merino Worsted (100% merino, 210 yards, 100gr), 1 hank;
Ice Yarns Zerda, 2 skeins;

Dimensions & sizes:
Sizes: child / adult.
The child’s hat fits 20,5 – 22” (52-56 cm) head;
The adult’s hat fits 22-23ʺ (56-59 cm) head;
The hat laying flat (double hem folded to the RS), measures: length 10.25” (26cm),
circumference 15.75-18.25 ʺ (40/46cm);

Gauge:
4ʺx4ʺ is 30 sts and 24 rounds over cable panel, using US 10 needles, blocked.
