If you love birds, then you’re definitely in for a “tweet”! With this pattern, you can create two blue jays (the “hair feathers” are different on each one). That way, you can create blue jay brothers (or sisters)! When you’re finished working on this project, both blue jays will be 8.5” x 4”.

Required Skills:

• Changing yarn colors

• Create a magic circle (or magic ring)

• Crocheting in a round

• Crocheting in front loops and back loops

• Decrease stitches (invisible decreasing is used for this project)

• Double Crochet

• Embroidering

• Half Double Crochet

• Increase stitches

• Sewing pieces together to form the doll

• Single crochet

Materials Needed for this Project:

• Size G/7 or 4.25mm Crochet Hook

• Size E/5 or 3.50mm Crochet Hook (for eyes, beak, legs, and feet)

• Yarn Needle

• Stitch Marker

• Scissors

• Polyester Fiberfill

• Stuffing Tool

• Red Heart Super Saver Solids yarn—1 skein for each color
o Blue for head/body, wings, hair, and tail
o White for face/belly and eyes
o Black for eyes, legs, feet, and tail
o Grey Heather for beak
