As a long-time knitter/crocheter and huge Dune fan, one of the things I always dreamed of creating was a plushie sandworm. I could envision exactly how it would look and come together, yet for some reason, I just never got around to making it. Recently, I started back on a Dune kick (I’m trying to reread the entire series including prequels) and started doing a lot more yarn crafts than usual, so naturally the idea crossed my mind once again. This time, though, I actually managed to make it!

The body is crocheted with brown acrylic, the mouth with dull-pink acrylic, and the teeth are cut out of a white felt sheet and sewn on. I even stuck a few cinnamon sticks into the stuffing before sewing it up to give that authentic “melange” smell!
