Anguli is a cowl designed to mimic the look of an asymmetrical triangular shawl wrapped around the neck, but with no pesky ends to come untied. Knit flat in garter stitch with a simple stripe sequence, a series of increases and decreases forms the shape of this cowl, and one little seam up the back joins it together. This is a fun and quick project that uses a small amount of fingering weight yarn – perfect for gift knitting, perfect for travel knitting, and creates a great, striking accessory.

Specific yarn requirements:
Cloudborn Highland Fingering (100%Wool; 494 yds/ 452 m per 100g); 1 skein each in Charcoal Heather (MC) and Natural (CC)
Or, in a fingering weight yarn, 250 yds/ 230 m of MC and 100 yds/ 90 m of CC (also shown in Highland Fingering with MC and CC reversed, and Plucky Knitter Primo Fingering in Good Ole Pip MC and Twill CC)

Needles:
US 5 (3.5 mm) circular needle, at least 20”/ 50 cm long

Gauge:
21 sts & 42 rows = 4”/ 10 cm in Garter Stitch
Meeting this exact gauge is not crucial, but any major differences will affect the size of the finished cowl as well as yarn requirements.
