Anonymouse was designed as a bonus download for readers of, Neighbourhood Swatch: A Knitorious Cozy Mystery Short Story, by Reagan Davis. If cozy mysteries are a genre you enjoy, you can download the free short story here: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/pqrgvh5976

This super cute mouse knits up quickly (the sample took me less than two hours) and uses less than 20 grams/7 ounces of fingering weight yarn. You’ll also need approximately 36 inches/91.4 centimetre of fingering weight yarn in a contrasting colour for the eyes, nose, and whiskers.

The mouse body is worked in the round, then stuffed, before it’s cinched closed. I stuffed the sample with polyfill, tissue paper (my cats love the crinkle sound it makes) and about 1 teaspoon/5 millilitres of dried catnip.

The tail and ears are worked separately and attached after the body is complete. I used duplicate stitch for the eyes and nose, and tied scrap yarn to the sides of the mouse’s face for whiskers.

NEEDLES 2.25 mm (US 1) needles or size needed to obtain gauge in preferred style for working small circumference in the round
