After developing a pattern for an apple hat for my new granddaughter I decided she needed some matching booties. Since they have ties around the ankle they actually stay on her little feet. Along with the apple hat these would make wonderful finishing touches for a photo shoot! (You can find the apple hat pattern listed here on Ravelry in my patterns.)

The pattern uses basic stitches – chains, single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet and slip stitches. Special stitch back-post single crochet is also used. You don’t need to have extensive crocheting experience to make these, but you should be comfortable with working in rounds and with the stitches listed.
