Any weight yarn can be used with appropriate hook size.

Samples’ sizes with worsted yarn, hook 4.0/ US 6:
Cowboy hat: 9 cm/3 ½” width x 5 cm/ 2” height.
Beetle car: 9 cm/3 ½” length x 5 cm/ 2” height.
Star: 4 cm. 1 ½” in diameter
Football: 11 cm/4 ¼” length x 5.5 cm/2 ¼” width
Anchor: 9 cm/ 3 ½” in height
Ship Wheel: 10 cm/ 4” in diameter
