This design reminds of the early mornings on Spring, when the sun shines on grass and flowers wet with dew and gives good hopes for a new day.

The shawlette is worked top down from neck to bottom. It has an unusual construction: the top part is done as a triangular top-down shawl, but the work continues with short rows to give it the crescent shape.
German short rows are used in the pattern, no wrapped stitches.
The work is suspended without breaking the yarn and two tails or two balls of yarns are preferred, but the yarn can be broken and rejoined, so yarn in a cone can be used anyway.
The pdf contains the link to video tutorials for the beginning tab and the German short rows.

The pattern is in both chart and text format.

This pattern has been test knitted with solid colored yarns, with yarns that have a long color changes and also worked in more than one color.

On the download page there are two files :
“April Dawn_2.pdf” is the complete pattern with charts and written directions, “Test samples.pdf” contains the pictures and the specifics of all the test samples. The test knitters have done a GREAT job, their projects are stunning !

NOTE : the Test sample.pdf does NOT contain directions, only pictures of the test samples, yarn amount, measurements and notes. There is NO need to print it to knit this pattern.
