Strikingly different heirloom baby pram blanket, blending a muted rainbow of stripes with different textures and aran-style stitches. It’s knit in one piece using 6 colours at once, with a simple crochet border. The variety of textures means that it would look just as beautiful with one colour.

Aimed at knitters who are already confident using a cable needle.

Pattern includes charts as well as written instructions. I’ve tried to accommodate knitters who prefer to read instructions row by row, as well as those who’d rather follow each stripe’s stitch pattern separately. Also, I’ve written it sympathetically to the new cable-knitter who needs detailed instructions as well as the expert who needs short codes only. You simply print out the pages you need, using the simple table of contents at the start.

Can be knitted using any yarn so long as you choose suitably-sized needles and a crochet hook.
