Holding the yarn doubled and using the recommended 9mm/US13 needles, this knitted loop scarf (aka snood and long cowl) allows the wearer to experience various textures with the softness of merino and the shine of mohair. Knit as one piece, then seamed at the cast on and bind off edges, the snood is a colorful and warm accessory that will be a great gift. This design and its matching hat are included together as a paid downloaded pattern for $7US.

From the Knit Rowan website:
Knit this matching accessory hat and snood designed exclusively for Knitrowan by Georgie Farrell. Using our beautiful yarn Cocoon (merino wool and kid mohair), the cosy pull on hat has a ribbed edging and pom pom and the super snug snood is knitted in contrasting purl and garter stitch.
