I am hosting a KAL for this shawl in my group Kingfisher Knits (double dipping is allowed)

This asymmetrical-triangular shawl lets you play with colour using simple stitch patterns and rows which never get unwieldy. Knit in garter stitch and easy lace this shawl is designed to make the colours shine, while giving a fun, wearable shawl. The shawl is fully bordered by an I-cord, the vast majority of which is worked while you work the shawl (no picking up stitches and working an endless I-cord bind off ).

Artemis is the Greek goddess of hunting and archery. Her strong and bold character is captured beautifully by the use of colour forming dramatic arrows.

YARN
Tre Liz “Artemis Shawl kit” on her Zeus base; 100% superwash merino, single ply (366 m / 400 yards / 100 g). Kit includes 1 x 100 g skein of MC and 5 x 20 g mini skeins (CC1, CC2, CC3, CC4, CC5).

“The Original” kit was used in the main sample:
MC: Warhol
CC1: Fight Club (pink)
CC2: Yarngasm (mauve)
CC3: Do Me (turquoise)
CC4: Manipura (yellow)
CC5: Svadhistana (orange)

While the blue-based shawl was knit with “The Mediterranean” kit

OR

Fingering weight wool or wool blend yarn. 1 x 100 g skein (at least 366 m / 400 yards) and 5 x 20 g mini skeins (each at least 73 m / 80 yards)

The design was conceived for a full skein in a speckled colourway and 5 mini skeins in semi-solid/tonal colourways. From the other sample photos shown, you can see that it works in many different combinations - so have fun! Raid the stash - find those left overs and cast on!

The sample shawl used up all of the yarn (apart from scraps) so gauge is important to work the pattern as written.

GAUGE
19 sts and 36 rows over 10 cm / 4” in garter stitch after blocking.
Adjust needle size if necessary to get gauge. Gauge is important here for yarn usage. If you want to knit this at a different gauge then please consider that you may need more yarn.
