When I was younger I lived in Phoenix, Arizona and my favorite time of the year was the “monsoon” season. Hot, sweltering mornings were relieved by torrential, afternoon downpours and I loved it all. I wanted to share some of that feeling with a simple, yet elegant shawl pattern that is easy to memorize as you go.

And so, As The Rain Falls was born.

Any yarn will work with this as long as your gauge (yarn/needle combination) creates a fabric that will lay nicely across your shoulders. This pattern will work well with any speckled, gradient, solid, or semisolid colors. The pink sample was knit with Cauldron’s Path Yarns Sunrise in Pink Gradient Splash (fingering weight, 100 grams, 475 yards) and used 465 yards
