Athabasca Shawl
by Lisa Pottle
The Athabasca River flows from its source in the Columbia Icefields in Jasper National Park to the Athabasca Lake on the northern boarder of Alberta and Saskatchewan. People have hunted, fished and lived along its banks for thousands of years. We enjoy its beauty and respect the force of nature that it is, especially come the spring ice break.
