The body of this lovely Crossed Loop Stitch Lace Top is knitted sideways.

The straps are added after the body is finished.

Material & Gauge:

For size XS (S) 6 (8) oz of hand-spun yarn, knitable with needles US 13/15 (9/10 mm)

gauge: 3 sts and 3 rows = 1 inch over stockinette stitch

crochet hook

Lace Ribbon (optional) in matching or contrasting color

Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl, yarn overs, 3-needle bind off, simple crochet.

Difficulty level: Intermediate.

This pattern was designed with handspun yarn in mind.

Substitute with any commercial bulky/chunky yarn to match gauge (needle size)

Larger sizes can be easily accommodated by casting on more stitches and adding stockinette stitch rows in between the lace segments.

Alternatively you may adapt the pattern as is with the use of larger needles (and bulkier yarn) to create sizes medium & large.
