The Athenaeum socks are a great unisex pattern with sizes for all family members.
The broken rib gives interest, while the ease of the pattern makes them accessible to the newest sock knitters.

However, some stitch shuffling is involved to make these socks symmetrical and line up beautifully. But the pattern will help you with it all.
