The inspiration for these mittens was taken from a book on the “Codex Aureus Epternacensis”. These mittens bring some of its glorious patterns to your knitting.

For the mittens you may choose between a two-colored and a multi-colored version. There are only two colors on each rnd, except for one rnd in the multi-colored version, where I have used three. You may however easily duplicate stitch the third color.

These mittens are a perfect project if you want to give Fair Isle Knitting a chance or learn two-handed stranded knitting. And the expert knitter will have fun with these, too. Bye the way, they make a wonderful Christmas gift!

Gauge depends on yarn used. Instructions are given for two different weights as well as a two-coloured and a multi-coloured version of the mittens.
