The design for this Autumn Hat was inspired by my Autumn Leaves Shawl. I live in the northern hemisphere where we are currently enjoying our autumn season. The leaves are changing to the most beautiful shades of yellow, red and brown and falling from the trees.

I have used Orielle DK yarn by Louisa Harding to knit this hat in a shade called Umbria. This yarn is just perfect for knitting a hat as colourful and vibrant as the autumn season.

This hat is worked from the bottom up. The cable ribbed brim is knitted first before moving onto the reverse stocking stitch and trellis pattern of the hat body.

Instructions for this hat are provided in both written and charted format.
