“Axis” has been designed for Swans Island Company yarns.
It is knit in 100% Organic Merino Wool fingering weight.

The shawl is worked in plain and stripe garter stitch. The addition of slip stitch pattern makes it visually interesting and adds textural interest.
To make it two skeins of SI merino fingering (525 yards per skein) are needed one of each colour.
Samples shown:
grey version - main colour “Charcoal, contrast colour Seasmoke;
blue/brown version - “Logwood” and “Sky Blue”

“Axis” shawl is knit side to side on the bias which makes it drape beautifully. The design is simple yet fun to knit and perfect for any skill level.
The shawl is big enough to cover shoulders yet light and airy to be worn as a scarf.

“Axis” modern design makes it a very versatile piece, perfect for any season!
