The monkey is about 8 inches tall, and if you embroider his eyes, is suitable for small babies, as well as older children.

It can be made either in one colour, or with contrasting hands & feet, or by changing colours every two rows, with the stripy effect shown on the pattern.

The pattern uses the following techniques, and is is suitable for advanced beginners:

• crocheting in the round
• increasing
• decreasing

The monkey I made used approximately 50g of light blue, 50g of dark blue and a very small amount of cream.
