This is a CROCHET PATTERN to make a Baby Owl Car Seat Blanket. It is designed to cocoon around baby’s legs and feet, while the top of the blanket lays on top of buckled-in-baby.

I chose the very plush and soft Bernat Blanket and Bernat Baby Blanket to create these blanket designs. I used one large (220 yds) skein for infant and 2 for toddler size. You will also need a few yards of worsted weight yarn in black and white, and also beak and eye colors of choice.

You may substitute any super bulky yarn (6) or use 2 strands held together of worsted weight for infant, and 3 strands for toddler size.

You will use a 9 mm hook for the infant size, and a 12 mm hook for the toddler size, and a 4.5 mm hook for facial features.

This blanket works up very quickly and is a great last minute gift!
