Knitted in the round makes this blanket such an easy knit. It starts in the centre and is worked outwards. No sewing in of seams only the ends.

The pattern also includes the final st count on the sides (between stitch markers) on the last round prior to casting off so if you prefer to knit from the outside in it is not to difficult to reverse the pattern, you will also need to decrease the sts at the increases.

It uses knit and purl stitches for the bulk of the knitting along with K2tog and yfwd when working the eyelot stripe. It also uses m1 to increase at the corners.

The pattern was knitted using Olive and Emma 8ply Merino superwash but is suitable for most 8ply’s using the gauge in the pattern.
