This pattern was designed for the TFA Year In Colour Club, March 2015, featuring the custom colourway ‘Spun Sugar’.

I have been dying to design a pattern that featured bobbles, but finding the appropriate use for this whimsical knitted detail proved more difficult than I expected. Paired with a simple meandering cable pattern and a subtle pinky neutral yarn I think these bobbles add just the right amount of feminine fun to this hat design. With a sewn under double brim this hat is light yet very warm. The perfect thing to get you through the last few weeks of winter, or better yet, if you’re lucky enough to live somewhere where winter is already over, to have stashed away and ready to pull out when it gets cold again next fall!
