This is the most versatile design I have created, and I am sure you will have fun with knitting it as well as wearing it.

It begins at the bottom, being knit from side to side in the main color. Then, stitches are picked up along the upper edge of the first piece (very easy to do) and the next two color sections are knit from the bottom up.

Each of the three sections incorporates German short rows (the easiest short rows of them all) and the piece ends up having a shape somewhat like that of a human eye.

This piece is knit entirely in garter stitch with a little bit of eyelet work for a bit of dainty detailing.

After I completed the design and knit the sample myself, I showed it to my daughter and we spent an hour wrapping it in a variety of ways on our dress form. She came up with a wide variety of delightful choices for wrapping and wearing this piece and we have captured the best of the styles in the photos you see shown here.
