Basic instructions for knitting socks with doublepoints to fit an American Girl-type doll with yarn weight ranging from thread to fingering (sockweight). Suggested gauge is 8 to 8.5 stitches per inch.

You must read the pattern all the way through at least twice before you begin knitting. Why? Because the pattern is organized with basic information first and then cast on recipes, similar to Ann Budd’s “Grand Plan” instructions from Interweave Knits/Interweave Press.

Variations:

  1. Basic ribbed sock
  2. Basic stockinette
  3. Knee socks
  4. Above-the-knee stockings
  5. Cabled socks
  6. Lace Knee socks
