Basic Tapered Warmers can be legwarmers or mitts.
The Legwarmers fit from 12”-18” at the calf, which is also the size of the L/XL mitts that start just above the elbow or are full-sleeves that start under the armpit.

Pattern sizes for adult XS and S/M mitts in both lengths are also included.

This pattern is worked in Stockinet stitch with 1x1 Rib Cuffs, so it is a fabulous pattern for ombre, variegated, and hand-dyed yarns, or to add your own color-work to.

Worked in Super-Bulky yarn, it knits up quick as a weekend project.

The legwarmers are slightly slouchy, and the mitts are more fitted.
The cuffs are extra-stretchy, and slip on over boot-cut jeans and jeggings alike.

The legwarmers took 2 skeins of Premier’s Isaac Mizrahi Craft Sutton yarn, with about 19.5 yards left. This may be enough for the pattern requiring the most yarn, which is the L/XL full-sleeve mitt, or it may take a 3rd skein.

Note: if you plan to add texture, such as cables, it may require more yarn and might not stretch quite as much.

I’d love to see your finished projects!
Have Fun!
