Use up all your odd balls and random, left-over yarn to make a beautiful Bavarian Buster Blanket. Here you find all the information you need to make you very own, king-sized Bavarian Buster Blanket.

Materials

  • 2600g of Double Knit (DK) yarn, this is equivalent to 26 full balls of most DK yarns.
  • Main Color (MC) - 500g of one color of DK yarn for the final round of the squares, the join and the border. I used 5 balls of Scheepjes Color Crafter Velvet in the color Taylor (842)
  • 4.0mm (US 6) hook

Size
The finished blanket is 200cm x 250cm (80″ x 100”). You can easily alter the size of the blanket, by changing the size of the squares. Tips are given in the blanket how to change the size of the blanket.

Instructions
The instructions are available as a written pattern and a video tutorial. The written pattern is available in English (US Terms), and Dutch. The video tutorial is available in English.

Free and paid pattern
On my blog you can find the pattern for free. Here on Ravelry, you can purchase a single, PDF file which contains the pattern in one, easy-to-print file, as well as the link to the video tutorial.
