Lighthouses and beacons were the inspiration for this simple shawl. Light is often seen as shining out, but in the case of of a beacon, it is also drawing you in. The shawl beacon stitch pattern expands out and draws you in, while breaking up the sections of garter stitch. The unique shawl shape sits well on your shoulders, and can be worn many different ways.

I highly recommend a single-ply yarn for this pattern to get the fantastic airiness and drape. The pattern works well with highly variegated and tonal colorways.

Size: Scarf is 32 inches wide (tip to tip) and 12 inches at it’s deepest point. This scarf/shawl can easily be enlarged with additional yardage.
