I am very fond of this pattern - it is a bit of a cheat as it is the blocking which makes the finished shawl into its crescent shape. However, you can have so much fun trying out different yarn and bead colour combinations and I have to say that this is super wearable as a scarf or light summer shoulder wrap. As with all shawls, it grows a lot with blocking, and full instructions on how to do this to set the shape are provided in the pattern. I have made several that are now regular items in my wardrobe. It works particularly well with luxury bases and hand-dyed yarns.
